Charlestown Democrats endorse candidates for Democratic primary and general election

The Charlestown Democratic Town Committee (CDTC) has announced its endorsed candidates for the 2018 Democratic Primary and General Election. Newly reelected Chair Catherine Collette stated, "Charlestown's Democrats are very proud to have an outstanding group of men and women to support. We have met with these candidates, and in some cases their primary opponents, and believe that the following will best represent our Town and our State in the coming years.”

For US Senator: incumbent Senator Sheldon Whitehouse

For Congress, Second District: incumbent Rep. Jim Langevin

For Governor in the September 12 Democratic Primary: Matthew Brown

For Lieutenant Governor in the Primary: State Rep. Aaron Regunberg

For Secretary of State: incumbent Nellie Gorbea

For Attorney General: Peter Neronha

For General Treasurer: incumbent Seth Magaziner

For State Senator, District 34: Jennifer Douglas

Collette continued, "We are very proud to represent and support the values that the Democratic Party stands for: economic opportunity, affordable college education, universal health care, affordable housing, civil and women's rights, and protecting our fragile and precious environment. The Charlestown Democratic Town Committee endorses these Democratic candidates and stresses that, given the chaos of the present Federal Administration, it is crucial that we take the time to vote, and take a stand in the upcoming election."
